Artist's Comments

Gonna work on it some more. Thinking the comic should be inked like this so that I won't have to color it anymore. The more I get done the better my momentum.

Planning to put ceremonial armor and thinking of making a "stamped" romanized background for this.

Hope to be able to finish a few more of these, for my Byzantine Game. I just wish I had players to look forward to.

Very nice, Byzantine stuff's always been cool. Is this an interpretation taken straight from the Ravenna Mosaic in San Vitale?

Well my interpretation of the mosaic, it wasn't exactly a realistic depiction of the emperor. Glad you liked it :D Don't see a lot of people who like byzantine stuff :)

Yeah.... This summer past i'd read Norwich's condensed history, But It is a very good likeness, The same goes for Theodora as well. I'm actually planning to visit the Basilica in the summer of 2010.

Nice! I hope i can go there to some time in the future. OR if not, just afford all the books on the topic, sometimes ones imagination can make a place more magical than it really is :))

Oh yes it can. My Art history class text book, ( weighs ten pounds,) Has an entire layout of the Hagia Sophia and the Ravenna Basilicas
