Work work work

Mon Jan 12, 2009, 8:53 PM
Well, working right now. getting my long delayed dose of deviant art. I'm glad to say every day of work makes me a bit closer to making my mahadlika comic.

Among other things...

I'll probably be more active on 2010 given that by that time I'll probably be training with other artists in my next business venture.

Go GIMP! I'm hopeful to make a open source Multi-Media venture using Ubuntu GIMP and all Open source applications.

Change doesn't happens suddenly. I hope this venture works out, cause if it does. This will mean A TON of artist jobs here in the country , good and steady pay for the artists here, and a sustainable way to employ many other creatives.

I may have not done much as an artist but as an entrepreneur I may help out more than just myself.

I've got the Strategikon!

I've got it, finally. Must have waited almost for 2 years. This is a must have for medieval warfare fans. Thos who don't know: this is the western equivalent of Tsun Zu. This book on warfare has been the best up until the 19th century with Clausewitz's "On War".

Byzantine fans can get some useful stuff in the links of my byzantine blog. [link]

I should be updating my profile with some 3d works. I work in 3d Visualization now. I've been busy trouble shooting and working on all the other stuff that comes with the more flexible title I have. technically I'm creative consultant or you can say Creative director since I set the standard for what is pretty and what needs more work.

If you ask me everything needs more work.

3d Training

Wed Aug 13, 2008, 4:54 PM
I've gotten very far along my 3d Training. Personally, I'm after a level of understanding and a list of basic skills I can take note of and hone.

I want to be a game designer, and it will be a while until I understand everything about my tools (w/c is 3ds Max). Once I do I have to study another tool: Ogre 3d and hope I can learn everything about it at the same time climb that professional ladder.

Right now I'm earning about $210 after taxes. So I'm still in the starving artist bracket with better skills. I plan to leave eventually and finish several personal projects to show case my new skills... but right now I just have to do what I have to do.
